One door closes.

As they say "when one door closes, another always opens." Well the door has closed on Fotografia Phoenix and its off to Santa Fe for new a adventure. Keep your eyes open for a new Phoenix Daily Photo site. I think I have a friend convinced to continue the site. She is a wonderful artist and I think you will enjoy her photos. By the way this is an elevator door at the Phoenix Public Library. And a big THANK YOU to everyone who has stopped by and shared there thought. Peace!

A shout out

Todays post goes out to one of Phoenix's biggest fans, Andy from Van Buren Daily Photo. This piano graffiti was painted in the downtown Roosevelt art district.

Sing a song

These guys were just out singing on the street and having a good old time. There were some many people out and about that you could barely hear them but they were still singing their hearts out. Have a great weekend every one. Sunday will be my last post from Phoenix.

Just be nice.

While walking around some galleries I happened to look up and noticed the message on the window. It was funny to see how many smiles this message brought about on the people walking in and around the interior of this space. Wouldn't it be great if we could get the whole world to do this.

A Singing tree

Well not really. At first when you hear the music you look around to see where its coming from. Not realizing that its coming up from a tree. This guy was having a great time playing his music and dancing in the tree.

Telling it like it is.

Someone wanted their voice heard during the art walk. Not sure how the candidate felt about it being placed by his advertisement. I drove by on my way home from work today and noticed that someone removed the Bush/Cheney sign.

Hello Kitty, It's Monday

The painting part of a group of paintings by an artist that was painting while people were walking by. This is my last week of posting from Phoenix. I hope everyone has a great week.

Real or Artificial

This industial looking building is the 5th floor of our main library. It almost looks like the interior of a 1950's building. The cicles are skylights allowing sunlight into the building.

My Last Art Detour

Today was the First Friday Art walk, and unfortunately my last one here in Phoenix. It was fun but a little sad. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Since 1952

Macayos is one of the oldest Mexican food resturants here in the city. There have several locations here in the valley. They have a great happy hour there too. Speaking of which, happy Friday.

Threatening Clouds

Twice today we saw the threat of another monsoon coming in from the West. Unfortunately we saw no rain. A lot of humidity and clouds but no rain. Maybe tomorrow.

Watching you drive by.

This Marilyn Monroe is painted on the side of a car lots building and it faces a motorcycle stores building. You can buy a motorcycle while Marilyn watches on.
