Job hunting?

Noticed this on the way home the other day. Had to chuckle to myself and then I thought, someone has to do it. Click on the photo for a better look.

It takes all kinds, I guess. I always wonder what the parents of these people say when people ask "what does your son do for a living?" :)

What actual intrigues me about the photo is the sign "Adopt a Street" - what is all that about?

You know, I LOVE photos that include examples of the grotty less exalted forms of signage in an area. Nothing wrong with focusing on beauty and higher thoughts, but I see that as part of the scenery, too. And especially because what's considered the dreg-end of town subtly shifts over time, and "bad" neighborhoods are re-vitalized and "nice" neighborhoods can fall into disrepair. It's funny to think of the "under new management" sign, because I usually associate that with apartments. Maybe they had someone who was insulting the customers. In any case, it must be a very strange industry to work in.
